Holy Family Church (The “Church”), a Colorado non-profit and tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3), is conducting a Raffle. Proceeds from the Raffle will be used for ongoing church operations and maintenance.  By purchasing or holding a Raffle ticket (The “Ticket”), each buyer agrees to the following Rules:

Cost of tickets:

The cost of a Raffle ticket is $100.  Three cash prizes will be awarded:

  • First prize      – $10,000
  • Second prize – $ 2,500
  • Third prize     – $ 1,000

Tickets, may be purchased online at www.holyfamilydenver.com, under the “Bazaar 2019 tab” or by mail until July 12th, 2019.  This will allow time for the Church to return your Ticket to you via U.S. Postal Mail before the weekend of the bazaar.

If you do not receive your Ticket by August 1, 2019 please contact the church office at 303-455-1664.

Please note that the purchase price of the ticket is NOT tax deductible.

How to Purchase tickets:

  • On-Line until Friday July 12, 2019, at 5 pm
  • Tickets will be available after masses beginning June 1, 2019
  • In the office at 4377 Utica St, Denver, CO, Tuesday – Friday 9 am and 5 pm
  • And during the Parish Bazaar, August 2 – 4, 2019.

The odds of winning are 1 in 400.  ONLY 400 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD

All Raffle ticket sales are final.

The Raffle drawing will take place on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 9 pm on the Church parking lot at 4377 Utica St, Denver, CO.  The drawing will be held under the supervision of the Parish Pastor, the Business Manager and the certified Games Manager.  The prize drawing is open to the public, and the winner need not be present to win.

To be eligible to purchase a ticket, the purchaser must be at least 18 years old at the time of purchase.

The ticket is 2-part.  Both parts are numbered.  One side, of the ticket is the “Stub”.  It has space for the purchaser’s name, address, phone, and e-mail.  The other side of the ticket is the “Ticket” and has the raffle winning prize information.  Holy Family will retain the purchaser’s Stub and place it in the Church safe until the grand prize drawing takes place on August 4th at the bazaar.  For tickets purchased online or by mail, Holy Family will mail the Ticket, a receipt, and a copy of the entire ticket to the purchaser within two weeks of purchase.

Only one name per ticket and one purchaser per ticket is allowed. A ticket purchaser may designate another person as the ticket holder by putting the other person’s name on the Stub, but that person must be at least 18 years of age at the time of purchase.

Tickets purchased on-line or by mail will be distributed and assigned in numerical order when payment is received. All credit card purchases will be withdrawn upon receipt of approval.  Holy Family reserves the right to reject any entry form that it deems defective.

The Church will contact prizewinners using information provided on the winning Stub.  If a prizewinner does not contact the Church within 10 business days after the first initial contact notifying them of their winnings, then the Church will give notice to the prizewinner by U.S. Postal certified mail, return receipt requested, to the address on the Stub. This notice shall state (a) the prize won, (b) a telephone number of a contact person at the Church, and time and location where the winning prize can be claimed.

To collect the winning prizes, each prizewinner is required to submit their Ticket, provide satisfactory proof of identification, and sign any tax documents as required by law. The Church will issue a tax form W-2(G) to the $10,000 prize winner, and a Form 1099 to the $2,500 and $1,000 prize winners.

Winners of the Raffle prizes, authorize the Church to withhold all required amounts and report the award of Raffle prizes in accordance with applicable law. The Church will withhold and remit all sums required, and remit the balance of the cash prizes to the winners.

After all the prizes are awarded, a list of the prize winners will be posted on the Church website: www.holyfamilydenver.com and in the Church bulletin the following week after the close of the bazaar.

Each ticket holder and each ticket buyer agrees that the Church and the Archdiocese of Denver are not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with, or as a result of, this Raffle; and releases and agrees to indemnify, defend, protect, and hold harmless the Church and the Archdiocese of Denver.

This Raffle is being conducted pursuant to Bingo-Raffles License #2019-14324 issued to Holy Family Church, by the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office, and is being conducted in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Colorado Constitution (Section 2 of Article XVIII), Colorado’s Bingo and Raffles Law (Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 12, Article 9, Sections 101 to 301), and Colorado’s Rules Covering and Regulating Bingo/Raffles (8 CCR 1505-2).This Raffle is void where prohibited by law.
